Wolfblood Season 4 Update

So over the past few days we've had a LOT, and we mean a lot of Wolfblood Season 4 news. We've had an official Press Release from the BBC, we've heard which cast has left the show and who is returning and also to top it off, we have the list of some of the cast of Wolfblood Season 4. Wow! We can't wait!

Yesterday afternoon, (Monday 28th September), the BBC released a statement into the public, updating us on the start of filming for the fourth season of the show. In that, they featured a small synopsis on the upcoming series, and let just say - we can't wait!

They also mentioned a small section of the Season 4 cast and who will be returning, and also the brand new actors we'll be seeing, as well as their character names! Those joining will be Michelle Gayle (Imara), Louis Payne (TJ), Jack Brett Anderson (Matei), Sydney Wade (Emilia) and Rukku Nahar (Selina).

Other returning cast include, Gabrielle Green (Katrina), Shorelle Hepkin (Kay) and Mark Fleischmann (Mr Jeffries). Also in the BBC's Press Release they stated that Leona Vaughan (Jana) will be taking a lead role in the new series, with other sad news to follow.

Since filming started last week, (Monday 21st September) and will run until early December, we can expect the new series to hit out screens at the start of next year.

BBC Press Release

"Filming has now started on the brand-new, action-packed series of Wolfblood with a fresh new look and cast for the hit CBBC drama.
There’s a new, urban backdrop for the fourth series (12x30) of the award-winning drama, currently being filmed in Newcastle/Gateshead. Former wild wolfblood Jana (Leona Vaughan) now takes centre stage, having left the security and seclusion of rural Stoneybridge and moved into the city where she forms a new pack.
The wolfbloods who play a pivotal role in her adventures include corporate boss Imara (Michelle Gayle), her son TJ (Louis Payne), Matei (Jack Brett Anderson), his sister Emilia (Sydney Wade), and martial arts enthusiast Selina (Rukku Nahar). Familiar returning characters include Katrina (Gabrielle Green), who has opened a new Kafe in town, Kay (Shorelle Hepkin) and their old teacher Mr Jeffries (Mark Fleischmann).
In a world of CCTV, social networks, 4G camera phones and viral videos, the wolfblood ‘secret’ is becoming increasingly vulnerable; faced with new dilemmas and foes, wolfbloods have to adapt to survive and Jana faces her biggest challenges yet.
Wolfblood is produced for CBBC by CBBC Productions, the in-house production unit based in Salford, and is executive produced by Lucy Martin with Jonathan Wolfman producing. The series was created by writer Debbie Moon and is a co-production with ZDFE in Germany.
Helen Bullough, Head of CBBC Productions, says: “We’re thrilled to be bringing another series of amazing Wolfblood adventures to its droves of fans, who are so passionate about this brilliant brand.
"Newcastle/Gateshead is a great backdrop for the twists and turns of this enthralling fourth series, and we’re delighted to have welcomed so many fine actors to the cast, with new faces appearing alongside familiar favourites.”
The series is due to transmit next year."
We also receved some very sad news yesterday that Louisa Connolly-Burnham (Shannon Kelly) has decided that she will not return to the show. Making her announcement via Facebook and Twitter, fans (including us) were very stunned at her shock exit.

Also in a post on Debbie Moon's website, she has officially confimed that along with Louisa Connolly-Burnham, Bobby Lockwood and Kedar Williams Stirling have also decided to leave the show. Along with Aimee Kelly, the original main Wolfblood cast (from season 1) have all now left the show. We as fans now wonder which other cast members will be or not be returning to the show for a fourth season.
